The last Secret Knock is done! One of Forbes Magazine’s top 5 can’t miss conferences for entrepreneurs was hosted in San Diego, CA July 10-12 for the last time. It was epic.
Secret Knock Co-founders Greg and Allyn Reid brought together some of the greatest thinkers, doers and contributors of our generation.
Among them, Frank Shankwitz, founder of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Brian Smith, the man behind the UGG boots brand, international best-selling author and publisher Sharon Lechter, James “Iron Cowboy” Lawrence, rock-n-roll artist Patrick Carney and… me, just to name a few.
What started in a living room 10 years ago has grown to one of the most exclusive gatherings in North America. The audience was filled with entrepreneurs, actors, authors, artists, dreamers… some all of the above! It was inspirational, educational, and an absolute blast.
I have been attending and speaking at conferences for over 20 years. What’s typical is to see a speaker on stage and not see them for the rest of the conference. At SK we were just as thrilled to be learning in the audience as we were to be speaking from the stage. The relationships initiated and nurtured are the gifts that promise to keep on giving. And when’s the last time you saw the sunset in California while listening to a mariachi band?
This was Secret Knock 1.0’s swan song. I am excited and grateful to be part of the SK family. We don’t know exactly what’s next for SK 2.0, but one things for sure, it will be… epic.
But wait, there’s more! Did I mention Kevin Harrington (father of the infomercial), Chopper the Biker Dog, Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster), Clarissa Burt, David Corbin, Doug Rogers, Ron Klein, Dan Fleyshman, Ken Rochon, Kent Georgi, Andrea Adams-Miller… Thank you Erik Swanson.
